What good test evidence looks like
A test result is only useful if others can trust and reproduce it. We record the scenario, the software and configuration under test, the expected and observed behaviour, and the supporting traces and logs. Defects are raised with enough evidence for a developer or vendor to act on them without repeating the investigation.
